You know how there are those tiny little bugs that can hibernate for years, encased in layers of mud or ice? They look dead to the outside world, but all they need is a little bit of warmth, maybe a touch of sunshine, and they unfurl themselves and start nosing around for food like that whole sleeping-in-the-snow thing never happened.
I mention those bugs by way of extended metaphor, in which I am one of those bugs, my hibernation period was the absurdly long winter we just went through, and today is the day I finally woke up. The role of sunshine is still just played by sunshine, though. Raaar!
